Bishop Octavio Cisneros, Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Brooklyn, will preside over a Mass to remember the victims of last week’s nightclub roof collapse in Santo Domingo tonight, Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 7 p.m. at St. Rita Roman Catholic Church, located at 275 Shepherd Avenue in the Cypress Hills/East New York section of Brooklyn.
In a message posted on his social media last week, Bishop Robert Brennan stated in part:
“May our Blessed Mother, under the revered title of Our Lady of Altagracia, the patroness of the Dominican Republic, bring comfort to the families who have so tragically lost loved ones and those who have sustained injuries. The Dominican community throughout Brooklyn and Queens can be assured of the prayers and solidarity of the Church in Brooklyn and Queens for all those who have been affected by this disaster.”
The Mass is organized by the Dominican Apostolate of the Diocese of Brooklyn.
