Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Healy

Died On: May 10, 2025

Most Reverend Robert J. Brennan, Bishop of Brooklyn, regrets to inform you of the death of Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Healy, a retired priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn. Monsignor Healy was born on May 22, 1940, was ordained to the priesthood on May 28, 1966, and died Saturday May 10, 2025. 

Monsignor Healy served the Diocese of Brooklyn as Pastor of the Parishes of Our Lady of Sorrows (Corona) and Our Lady of Lourdes (Brooklyn). He also served as parochial vicar of the parishes of Our Lady of Lourdes (Brooklyn), Saint Agnes and Sacred Heart Chapel (Brooklyn), Saint Gabriel the Archangel (Brooklyn), and Saint Paul (Brooklyn). He was retired in residence in the parishes of Saint Michael (Brooklyn) and Queen of Angels (Brooklyn). Monsignor Healy served as chaplain of Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School, Bishop Kearney High School, and hospital chaplain of Holy Family Hospital. Monsignor Healy was named Prelate of Honor in 1997.

Monsignor Healy was a member of the Priests’ Purgatorial Society. Please pray for the repose of his soul and for the consolation of his family and  friends. May he rest in the peace of Christ, the Risen Lord.
